History of The Ark Christian School

The Ark Christian School is the fulfilment of a dream that was formed 16 years ago in The Ark Christian Fellowship. After experiencing first hand the difficulties involved in the minefield called “educational choice” here on the south coast of Spain. Also meeting many parents who were desperate to find an alternative to the two choice system comprising of either Spanish state school or high priced business led private schools. They strived to find a way to enable parents to give their children an education that incorporated traditional values, top class teaching by dedicated staff and where each child is valued regardless of their academic capabilities. An environment which allows every child to develop his or her giftings whilst being encouraged to reach new heights educationally.

For most people this kind of education would be prohibited by cost BUT because The Ark Christian School is a non-profit making association run by a board of dedicated volunteers, the school is able to keep its fees reasonable, whilst not compromising on standards.

The Ark Christian School opened in 2009 and after some stressful times with red tape and bureaucracy the school were able to celebrate their success with a grand inauguration where the Mayoress welcomed the school into the educational family on the coast. She expressed her delight at being able to host a British christian school in her town and confirmed that it would enrich the whole community.
